Announcements, timers and one-off messages
Write posts in advance, repeat short reminders on an interval, and send a single message by hand.

Announcements
Announcements are one-off or repeating posts you write in advance. They are plain Discord messages rather than embeds, so headings, bold, quotes, code blocks and role pings all behave the way they do when you type them yourself.
- Open Announcements and press New Announcement.
- Give it a Name for your own reference, pick the Channel, and write the Content. A live preview sits beside the editor, and the role dropdown inserts a working mention at your cursor.
- Choose One-time and a Send At time, or Recurring and a cron expression such as 0 9 * * 1 for every Monday at 09:00, with a First Send At.
- Press Save as Draft. Open the draft again and press Schedule to arm it.
- Draft
- Saved but not armed. Nothing is sent. You can edit or delete it.
- Scheduled
- Armed and waiting. Unschedule puts it back to a draft without losing the text.
- Sent
- Already posted. A one-time announcement stops here and can no longer be edited, only deleted.
Scheduled messages are a Plus feature.
Timers
Timers repeat. Where an announcement is a piece of writing with a send time, a timer is a rota of short messages that keeps posting on an interval: rules reminders, links, the thing you are tired of typing.
- Open Timers and press New Timer.
- Name it, choose Rotating or Once, and choose Discord or Twitch.
- Paste the Channel ID. This field takes a raw Discord channel ID rather than offering a list.
- For a rotating timer, set the interval in minutes. For a one-time timer, set Fire At instead.
- Write the messages, one per line, and create the timer.
A rotating timer posts one line per turn and works down the list in order, then starts again. The dashboard shows which line is next.
- Interval (minutes)
- How long to wait after the last post. The scheduler wakes once a minute, so intervals are accurate to the minute rather than the second.
- Min Channel Messages
- Skip the post if the server has been quiet. It counts messages across the whole server since this timer last posted, not just the timer’s own channel. Leave it blank or at zero to post regardless.
Sending one message by hand
Send Message posts a single message as Unum, right now. Pick a channel, type up to 2,000 characters, and send.
- Typing @ opens a picker for roles and members, and inserts a real mention.
- The emoji button lists your server’s custom emoji, animated ones included.
- The counter beside the box shows how many characters you have left.
