Earning Credits

Credits are your server’s currency. Members earn them for things they were doing anyway, and spend them on giveaway entries, auction bids and heist gear.

Nothing is earned until you write a rule. Each rule is one platform paired with one trigger, and there are no defaults. An empty Credits page means an economy with no income.

  1. Open Credits in the dashboard.
  2. Choose a Platform: Discord, Twitch, Kick or YouTube.
  3. Choose a Trigger: chat message, subscription, follow, raid, voice join, voice time, or Bits and Super Chats.
  4. Set how many Credits the trigger is worth (at least one) and a cooldown in seconds. Bits and Super Chats asks for Credits per $1 instead, with no cooldown.
  5. Press Save Rule. It appears under Active Earn Rules, where you can press Edit to load it back into the form.

Saving a rule for a platform and trigger you have already covered replaces the old one rather than adding a second.

Chat message
Paid per message, limited by the cooldown. Each message counts once, so a reconnect cannot pay twice for the same one.
Voice join
Paid when a member joins a voice channel, at most once an hour however short the cooldown, so leaving and rejoining earns nothing extra.
Voice time
Paid on a sweep every 15 minutes to everyone sitting in voice at that moment. The sweep uses the Discord voice time rule, so without that rule nobody earns for time spent.
Bits and Super Chats
Paid in Credits per $1 spent, for Twitch or YouTube. Twitch bits count 100 per $1. YouTube Super Chats and Super Stickers count their price, converted to US dollars with approximate rates when paid in another currency. Part of a dollar counts, so $2.50 at 10 Credits per $1 pays 25, rounded down to whole Credits. Each cheer pays once and there is no cooldown. Anonymous cheers pay nothing.
Subscription, follow and raid
Paid from your connected stream platforms when the event arrives. A follow pays once per channel (unfollowing and following again pays nothing), a subscription once a month per tier and channel, and a raid once a day per raider and channel.

Voice Channel Exclusions, further down the page, let you name voice channels where time spent earns nothing. An AFK channel is the obvious one.

Members have no command for checking a balance. The public leaderboard, with the Credits column switched on, is where they look. Ultimate adds Server Groups, which can pool one balance across several servers.
