Verification
Keep the rest of the server behind one role, handed out to people who can read a code and type it back.
Verification gate
The verification gate keeps the rest of the server behind one role, and hands that role out only to people who can read a code and type it back.
- Open Verification, pick the Verified Role, and press Create.
- In Discord, set your channels so that only the verified role can see them, leaving the panel channel visible to everyone.
- Back on the dashboard, paste a Channel ID under Verification Panel and press Post Panel.
- Turn the feature on with the ON/OFF switch.
A member presses Verify on the panel, gets a six-character code in a box, and types it back. Unum gives them the role straight away.
- Code lifetime
- Five minutes. After that the member presses Verify again for a fresh one.
- Characters used
- Letters and digits with the look-alikes removed, so there is no O against 0 or I against 1.
- Typing it back
- Case does not matter. A wrong code says so and lets them try again.
- Already verified
- Members who already hold the role get nothing when they press the button.
Reposting the panel is safe. Paste a channel ID and press Repost whenever the old message has scrolled away.
