Auctions
Put an item up with a Bid button, take bids in Credits or a currency of your own, and close on a deadline.

Auctions
An auction posts an item with a Bid button and runs to a deadline. Bidding uses Credits, or a currency of your own that Unum only keeps score of.
- Open Auctions. Under Server Settings, set Auto-extend in whole minutes from 1 to 60, or leave it blank to turn it off.
- Under Create Auction, pick the Channel and name the item. A description and an image URL are optional.
- Set the Starting bid and the minimum increment between bids.
- Leave Use external currency off to bid in Credits, or turn it on and give your currency a label.
- Set the end date and time, and a start time if it should go up later. Press Create Auction.
Members press Bid and type an amount. The bid has to be at least the current bid plus the minimum increment, or the starting bid if nobody has bid yet. The post updates with the new leader.
- Auto-extend
- A bid placed within the window you set pushes the end time out by that many minutes, so a last-second bid never ends the auction.
- Credits auctions
- A bid is refused if the member cannot cover it. While you lead, the Credits for your bid are set aside, so you cannot spend them elsewhere. They come back the moment someone outbids you, or if the auction is cancelled. When the auction ends, the winning bid's Credits become the payment. Losing bidders pay nothing.
- External currency
- Unum tracks the bidding and names the winner. Collecting and delivering are down to you.
- Outbidding yourself
- Not allowed. The current top bidder is told they already lead.
